Even The Earth Knows Who God Is

In Luke 19:37-38: During Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, the people were so full of joy and love for him, that they "began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory to the highest." (This is the fulfillment of Jesus’ prophecy in Luke 13:35.) Some of the Pharisees got uptight with this, and told Jesus to "rebuke" them. Luke 19:39. Jesus answered and said: "I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out." Luke 19:40. This is PROFOUND!

Jesus is saying to us that the stones would cry out! Do you realize what this means? It takes us back to when Jesus said "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Also translated as "all creation". - Mark 16:15. Jesus is literally saying to us that not only people, but animals, and everything on the whole earth should hear the Gospel. Jesus Christ is not simply king over humans, but king over everyone and everything in all creation!

Though animals and plants will not receive salvation as we do, he still wants them to know the truth. And in telling us that the stones would cry out, he is saying that the very planet Earth knows who God is, and rejoices in it! On the other side of this joy, according to God’s word, the Earth also knows about sin, and hates it: "And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants." - Leviticus 18:25.
