Firstly, we need to recognize something. God made our bodies. God created us. Since we have points in our bodies that when pressed may help to cause healing to the body, that is something that God made for us. The Chinese people did not create these points; they did not put these points into our bodies. They are however the ones who discovered what God gave us, and documented the point systems. I have no problem with people who are Chinese; however, religious philosophies that are anti-Christian should not be accepted. For example, there is a wonderful pressure point located on the left wrist that helps relieve anxiety. I personally have used this point with success. Now it’s known as two different things: "H7", which (obviously) I have no problem describing it as that, or thinking of it that way. However, it’s also known as the "spirit gate", or "spirit door". If you are a Christian, that should be a big red flag for you! Especially since not only is Jesus Christ responsible for sending the Holy Spirit, but He also refers to Himself as the "door" (or also translated as the "gate") to His sheep. (John 10:7). To believe that points such as H7 or any other point stimulates some sort of "spirit gate" is not only blasphemous against the Holy Spirit, but ignorant of the truth in Jesus Christ. The fact is, as mentioned above: God (the one true God) made certain points all over our bodies, which when pressed, may cause various forms of healing. Pressing these points and receiving healing is in no way an anti-Christian action. After all, God wants you to use these points. He wouldn’t have put them into all of our bodies if He didn’t! However, how do you find out about the points (where they are and what they do) without going to traditional Chinese medicine to find out? After all, they are the ones who figured it out and documented the whole system. No matter how you approach this issue, if you are interested in using these points for healing, you are probably going to be exposed to ridiculous (if not satanic) doctrine in the process of finding out how. Even if you are firmly grounded on the rock, a strong, experienced Christian who can easily spot new-age deceptions and is not swayed by them... THIS IS STILL A STRONG WARNING! Now acupuncture requires going to a doctor. Not long ago, I went to a chiropractic appointment where the office space was shared with a acupuncturist. In the office area was a buddhist false idol statue, along with information about the acupuncturist. That was enough for me to know that I would not be doing any business with that person. Sadly, unless a doctor is a professing Christian, we will not know what type of person they are unless we have the gift of spiritual discernment or unless the doctor blurts, such as in putting up a false idol. (However, I do recognize that some people are ignorant in thinking that idols are simply art statues). Are you a Christian? Do you want someone sticking pins into your body, and at the same time thinking that they have the power to control or manipulate your "chi" (defined by TCM as the vital life force of the body)? Jesus Christ is our strength and refuge! So be very cautious that no one is praying to a false god over you, practicing an occult function, or possibly even a satanic ritual. Obviously you don’t want anything to do with that, so watch out! (Don’t freak out, if you are a saved Christian, and have the Holy Ghost upon your life, this type of stuff has absolutely no power over you whatsoever. (Read Luke 10:19). So if something like this may have happened at one of your appointments somewhere, and it was against your will and against your Christian beliefs, just renounce it in the name of Jesus Christ.) The point is, you don’t want to mess around. Even if a acupuncturist does not display or exhibit any false doctrine content (or talk about it) that doesn’t mean that they aren’t practicing it in their mind as they are working on your body. If you are planning on doing this type of treatment, my recommendation is that you try to find an acupuncturist who is a Christian; one who does not believe in the false doctrines wrapped up in acupuncture. Otherwise, avoid this type of treatment. Now acupressure may be a different story. You can practice it yourself, as it just involves pressing on points. However, you need to find out the where, how and what about each of the points, and that requires research. You could pray for protection from lies and evil and do the research, but again, be prepared to identify and renounce false doctrines associated with this research. My goal of this article is not to recommend acupuncture or acupressure, but rather to point out the TRUTH that God invented the healing points (not Chinese doctors), and to warn the brothers and sisters in Christ to be very cautious as to what they are getting involved with along these lines. Do not be lead astray! Just because acupuncture and acupressure works, it does not mean that there is any credit to any of the false religious or false "spiritual" doctrines that TCM is wrapped up in! Again, I am not recommending that you research or use acupuncture or acupressure, but if you are going to look into this information to help heal your body, here is a link to a website providing tons of acupressure point information, with minimal association to any false doctrines: Point Finder.

Acupuncture and acupressure are both a popular alternative to conventional medicine. Both consist of highly complex point systems, documented and presented to the world by what is known as TCM (traditional Chinese medicine). For those who are Christian, you may be wondering about whether or not it’s acceptable for you to use these forms of treatment.
