// Abrahamic Faiths - Brotherhood Through Abraham* 2K+ ↓↓   ↓

In our emerging "peace and safety" environment, where the Nations of the world are trying to figure out how to join in unity all the world religions, Abraham seems to be one of their chosen keys. Since 3 of the most powerful religions hold claim to Abraham (as well as various new age movements), they have come up with a unity label: "Abrahamic Faiths". Un-countable people hold Abraham very high. Yes he was chosen by God, and made one of the most known and influential men in history. However, him and his wife were also messed up, unable to trust God to the point that they pre-meditated and committed adultery with his wife's slave (read Genesis 16) in sinful attempt to force God's plan for them to have a child to come to pass. We must understand that Abraham was only a man, and it's not about Abraham anyway.

If we say that we believe in Abraham, does that get us anywhere? No. Is faith in Abraham a guaranteed way into Heaven? No. Did Abraham cleanse us of our sins? No. Is Abraham our Savior? No. It's not about Abraham.

In John 8, when Jesus Christ (the one who spoke truth of God like no other, performed miracles like no other, and the only one to bring Himself back to life by His own power) was preaching, a large group of people got very angry with Him. They proclaimed to Jesus "We be Abraham's seed" and "Abraham Is Our Father", as if that held some authority for them in this world. When Jesus tried to speak to them about God, truth, sin, they rejected Him. Near the end of His speech, Jesus told them that Abraham rejoiced in Him: "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad." The people really got mad about this, saying: "Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?" Jesus replied by calling Himself God: "Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I AM." (John 8:58 - in connection with Exodus 3:14 where God calls Himself "I AM"). At this point, they became attempted murderers and decided to stone Jesus to death, so He made Himself invisible, and disappeared from the crowd.

What went on here between Jesus and the crowd is vitally important for us to understand. Jesus sets the record straight, let Him be an example to us! It is not about Abraham, it is about Jesus Christ!

We are taught that everyone has sinned, and that the penalty for sin is death. However, for those who have Jesus Christ as their lord - He has paid for their sins on the cross and therefore they will have eternal life in Heaven:
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" - Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23

No one can receive God or Heaven, except through Jesus Christ: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father [GOD], but by me." (John 14:6). The reason is, if someone does not believe and accept Jesus Christ and His death payment for their sins on the cross of salvation, then they cannot go to God. God does not accept sinners, for He has proclaimed that they will have to pay for their sins with Death and Hell. HOWEVER, God does allow those who Jesus Christ has paid for with His death on the cross. Therefore, we must believe in and accept Jesus Christ and be baptized by Him with the Holy Ghost: "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:16). "He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John 3:36) .

If someone does not believe in Jesus Christ, the wrath of God is upon them:
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." - John 3:36

If someone is a Christian (and walk with the Holy Spirit), you will not be condemned. Outside of this, they are condemned:
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." - Romans 8:1

God will globalize in unity, all men and women in brotherhood and sisterhood, but not through Abraham, and not through the acceptance of sin and false religions. God's unity given to us will be through Jesus Christ.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." - (John 3:16-18).

Will you join in this unity with us?
