// #TRUMPET SOUND @RAPTURE - What Will We Hear? REVELATION 1:10 #rapture #heaven #christian* 6K+ ↓↓   ↓

The Word of God has guidance and clues to alleviate fear.

St. John (called “companion in tribulation”) heard “a great voice, as of a trumpet” (Rev. 1:9), identified as “the voice of the Lord”, speaking to him as the Alpha and Omega (Rev. 1:11).

While we may be now able to perceive the Lord through the Holy Spirit, we rarely see or hear Him in His Glory as John did. However, in that hour, we will hear his voice with physical ears (like John), and we will be able to perceive Christ in bodily form at the time of the rapture. This happens (as John wrote) when a “door opens in heaven”. This door is also the doorway of perception as the division between earth and heaven is broken away by Almighty God; creating a opening to connect heaven and earth. We will physically know and recognize the Lord. (Even now: “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me....” John 10:27).

John also writes that he hears another voice and both voices are described in Revelations as being like unto the sound of a trumpet. Other New Testament writings indicate we will hear a trumpet sound and that a trumpet will “call” us into heaven. “And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other” (Matthew 24:31).

Whether it be the voice of the Lord, of angels, or both, we will hear and know even if likely perceiving the sound “of a trumpet”. This call will say “come up hither” and we will go.

“After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither...” (Rev. 4:1).

Through the Word, we may believe that our own experience will parallel that of John, and whether it be a physical trumpeting or a voice sounding, it will be a recognizable voice, coming from heaven. We therefore trust that our loving relationship with our Savior Jesus Christ will lead us to him and that we WILL hear His call.

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed”. (1 Corinthians 15:52).
