// Why Baptize A Baby or Child? #bible #christian #truth #infant* 2K+ ↓↓   ↓

Many Christians believe that it's inappropriate to baptize a baby or a child because they have not reached the age in which they start being held accountable for understanding, accountable by God for any sins they may be committing. They have not become an adult, recognizing their sins, and then seeking God's grace by repenting and making that life changing choice into Christianity. Those who believe this have valid points in their beliefs, but it should be recalled that Jesus himself said: "Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 19:14 king James version).

To baptize a baby with water, in according to Jesus' direction (in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost), is actually a very important step in life. It's a proclamation by the parents, that their child is officially given to Jesus Christ. It's a ground claim for God on the child, and this is something that could help them find their way when it's time for them to repent and become saved. It's something that can help protect them throughout their childhood, being that they are a child that was given to Jesus. It obviously doesn't guarantee they will find salvation, but it may help more than we can comprehend! Would Jesus want a parent to bring him a new born baby and say "this child belongs to you", or would he rather that they say, "not until they are old enough"?

{Do you agree?}
